Google PR

I used to obsess, but now I’m really just done with it. It seems to change in a totally obscure and random way! I know I have more people coming from Organic listings than I ever have before, but my PR is down to what it was in April. Ho-Hum.

I’m off to go and do something more useful, like devlope some more nice content to keep people interested and buying (which they seem to be doing a fair bit of late – people just can not get enough cufflinks this month!).

Customers… its hard to keep track

But not that hard with the help of an access database that I have developed in the last two weeks. I’ve been wanting to do this for too long now and its been a lack of time thats stopped me previously.

The Customer Information Tracker has been designed to keep track of customer comments, complaints, returns, customer issues with the site and pretty much any other customer related issue. A Data Access Page allows customer calls to be logged and linked to orders. This can be searched via multiple fields in order for customer information to be recalled.

Result:No more loosing bits of paper or writing countless post-it notes about customer returns and anything else! Plus the small added benefit of being able to run analysis on reliable figures to see how well we are doing! Oh yeah…

July – going up

Sales with one of my sites are up a huge 37% month on month! The other has dipped a little, due to decreased demand for Novelty gifts and the personalised gifts being out of stock.

New promotions are to be created for some of the slow moving stock whilst others have simply been identified as having poor descriptions & images on site and will be updated accordingly.

CPC: Spend as a percentage of Revenue is moving ever lower with better integration of adwords and analytics.

Hopefully I will have new filters for analytics that will identify where each sale came from (i.e. keyword) to enable better price setting.
