Cyclones & Quakes

Looking at the events of the past few weeks, its interesting to see the contrasting responses between Burma and China to the huge devestation that has hit these respective countries. I think that several years ago, the Chinese response to the international community would not have been so different to that of Burma, which is quite frankly, appalling!

The secretive response of Burma only makes you think that the military is just interested in bulldozing the effected areas and starting afresh, rather than running a rescue and aid effort.

5 million new homes being needed in china will probably have an effect on inflationary pressures too..
