Customers… its (not that) hard to keep track

I came across this post that was first written a while back and can’t believe how fast things have moved in just 13 years. Nowadays SaaS applications for managing your customer database are ten-a-penny free (like Hubspot) and come with a large array of standard features even at that price point!  I couldn’t have dreamed of this sort of thing being freely available when I wrote this post.

Original title: Customers… its  hard to keep track

…but not that hard with the help of an access database that I have developed over the last two weeks. I’ve been wanting to do this for too long now and its been a lack of time thats stopped me previously.

The Customer Information Tracker has been designed to keep track of customer comments, complaints, returns, customer issues with the site and pretty much any other customer related issue. A Data Access Page allows customer calls to be logged and linked to orders. This can be searched via multiple fields in order for customer information to be recalled.

Result:No more loosing bits of paper or writing countless post-it notes about customer returns and anything else! Plus the small added benefit of being able to run analysis on reliable figures to see how well we are doing! Oh yeah…
